Do I need to install a driver for the motherboard?

The disc that came with the system board is missing. After installing Windows 7, do I need to install the driver (or drivers) for the Intel chipset? If so, how? Over Windows 7 drivers? What drivers to take on the website of the chipset manufacturer?

This is your motherboard, with support for Socket 775 yes, you need to look for drivers for it and install it under your OS, as the manufacturer may close support for such hardware, in your case support ended on viste 32x and 64x
Driver data is put first after operating system installation

@Ilja , if you have so many questions like this, then the best option for getting the result would be such a " magic pill " (there are analogues similar in function, but this one is time-tested).

If the manufacturer does not include a driver disk with the motherboard, then it is not needed. Those. The board is designed for standard drivers supplied with the operating system.
If the disk is lost, then you need to go to the website of the motherboard manufacturer and download the drivers for this motherboard model.
If you have time, you can experiment with drivers for your chipset from other boards, but there is no guarantee that they will work.
Installation.
If the OS prompts you to install the manufacturer's drivers, then install them after this prompt. You can install after installing the OS, I did this and everything was installed and worked fine.

Usually not, but sometimes you need to update the driver. For example, with a built-in video card, there may not be opengl support in the driver that installs win.
It is better to take it on the website of the motherboard manufacturer.
