It is possible to be a party under a contract (when the customer pays for the result, not the process) without registering an IP, but when providing services such as website maintenance or the like, where there is no specific result, it is preferable for the customer to work with the IP so that the relationship of the parties is not recognized labor.
It is not necessary to be an individual entrepreneur, but then, if everything is in white, you have an income tax on individuals - 13% (plus the company must pay social taxes for you), if as an individual entrepreneur you are on USN income - 6%.
Of course you can not register IP! But then your customer will have to pay all taxes and fees for you from your payment, which is about 30 percent. Most often, this 30 percent will be deducted from your payment, so be careful. Specify in the contract the amount to be paid into your hands and be sure to indicate that this amount does not include taxes, contributions to funds. Otherwise, everything will be deducted from you and you will not be able to do anything.
There is also another danger - the organization will pay you money, but will not report to the tax office. Then the tax will come to you and force you to pay personal income tax on your own.
