Do I need to be able to draw to become a GUI designer? I have experience as a web designer. Where to start?

At the moment I work as a web designer, but I have a great desire to move into interface development, usability research, designing convenient interaction. Where to start?

as Yana Frank (a top designer and just a wise woman) says: "A good designer does not have to be able to draw, but he must be a creative person who has a lot of ideas. He must study other people's work, trends, styles and all sorts of useful sciences about colors and fonts."
This illustrator is unthinkable without the skill of drawing by hand. I think that everyone should mind their own business. It is better to realize yourself in one thing.

design is not drawing, but rather an exact science, and has an indirect relation to creativity. design has more in common with brain teasers than creativity and creativity.
