I really wanted to try my hand at mobile development. And then I came across a vacancy "Swift Internship". I really liked that the threshold is very low. And I wanted to try. - spin OSX in a virtual machine
- iOS in a native emulator

what exactly does this phrase mean

it is very conditional, and everyone puts their own meaning into it.
for me, this means familiarity with the syntax and features of the language. but it is better to check with those who require.

If the hardware allows, you can put macos on the virtual machine. In xcode there is such a thing as a playground - very convenient for learning.
