Do I need a license for a font when building a website?

Good evening.
Maybe a stupid question, but I couldn't find an answer on the internet. I want to deal with this issue once and for all and do it right from the beginning.
Do I need a license for a font when making up a site, or should I look at the license only when making posters, magazines and other printed materials?
Now I'm choosing a font for the site and I wanted to put font-family: 'Roboto', sans-serif; since it has Apache License, version 2.0
But I would like to use font-family: Helvetica, Arial,sans-serif but Helvetica is a paid font.

if you specify a font without connecting it, then you can use it without problems.
it is assumed that the arial with Helvetica is installed by default on the user.
if you connect via font-face or otherwise, then you need to buy, of course.
myfonts.com (and similar sites) have different licenses and prices depending on the type of connection, for example (via js or via font-face).

For the purity of deeds and peace of mind for the future - purchase a license. Well, if you want with a minimum of costs - engage in piracy. It all depends on how decent a person you are. How you treat others will be treated the same way. By purchasing any license you create a pleasant impression of yourself. It may be different. All this generates in the thoughts of others one of two things: you are either an idiot who pays for some kind of fonts or monograms, or a person who respects the work of others. Accordingly, for the "right" people you will be more attractive for further cooperation.

If you work with large companies, then everything is only licensed. Not required for small companies. But there are enough free fonts, and let the designer do it in general.
Instead of helvetica - helvetica neue will do.

I think you can't earn a good reputation from stealing in a "thinking" community.
