Do I need 32Gb RAM for a typical home computer?
Interested in the opinion of the community. Using a computer is normal home use, sometimes a bunch of tabs are open, rarely a hypervisor for test virtual machines (not always and not hardcore). It's just that when surfing and a few simple tasks - 6-8 gigs as from a bush, during games I don't monitor the RAM load, but I'm not an enthusiastic gamer either. Installed two strips of 8 gigs. There is an idea to buy two more strips while they are available, suddenly then this particular model will disappear from sale or the revision will change, or something else, and the techno-perfectionist inside me prefers the same paired modules. The question is whether it is necessary or to sit out on 16 gigs to some mass DDR5 5133Mhz (the figure from the ceiling is just an example)?
