Do I have the ability to program?

Hello.

I have an acer aspire 5750g-2454g50mnkk laptop:

  • Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2450M CPU 2.5 Ghz;
  • 4 GB RAM;
  • Nvidia geforce 630m;
  • Linux (Lubuntu).

And also there is a desire to try to create games.
I want the games to have the visual style of the PS1 games,
or (if technically possible)
the style of the Silent Hill 2 game.
The questions are generally the following:
Is it possible?
And what is the best place to start, if possible?
And is it possible to do this on Linux?

Thanks a lot for the replies.

In the last century, they programmed on a calculator, your mobile phone is thousands of times more powerful.

Since I make games on the calculator exactly a cut above yours, then you should succeed.

The possibility of programming is not solved by iron. You will program anyway, not the laptop. Unity is
available for Linux - https://forum.unity.com/threads/unity-hub-v2-0-0-r
... studying game development?
