Do customers need websites without promotion?

Hello, friends.
I spent more than one year learning how to create websites. Went from gaining skills in design, layout and programming. During this period, people turned to me for the creation of sites, i.e. I have a few completed projects, but there are. At the moment, there was a desire to develop freelance, due to financial difficulties. Having fooled my competitors, I was confused by the so-called selling sites, landing pages, etc. Companies guarantee sales to their future customers.
In this regard, I have two questions for you:
1) is it worth launching now or slowing down, studying the marketing procedure in order to also guarantee sales to customers, since simply having a website is unnecessary for anyone?
2) SEO-optimization is familiar to me, but how do companies achieve such an unheard-of CTR for their clients' sites? What exactly do I need to study? Contextual advertising?
Thanks for the advice, friends!

1- Yes, of course needed. If you are a master of your craft (website creation), then of course you will be ordered sites (subject to some other conditions such as cost and portfolio availability). Not everyone is looking for a specialist or a company that will do everything for them from start to finish, because they understand that there are a lot of variables.
2- None. 99% of what is written on landing pages is the fantasy of the creators of these landing pages or an example of one of hundreds of clients. The real picture will be quite different, especially in SEO.

I would say so. You can guarantee sales to customers only if you take responsibility for the site, traffic, and the product itself. Take responsibility for the site. If you know how to drive high-quality traffic to the site, then take responsibility for the site and traffic.
