Do companies listen to our smartphones to show ads?
A question that has set the teeth on edge, but is still relevant, since I cannot find a unanimous opinion on the Internet. It seems like blind tests do not confirm this theory + I met the opinion that it is difficult for algorithms to isolate key words in speech, since neural networks still determine the context in which the word is spoken quite mediocrely, since it is the context that is important, otherwise there will be many false positives.
What do you think?

They're eavesdropping! I created a topic here on this topic =) We closed the question quickly. So yours will be closed. Apparently bribes here ....
They talked to a man about buying a hectare of land and playing darts. The phone was in the pocket. Got on the computer. Most likely Alice, Huisa, Siri + Yandex account (I use Yandex mail on my phone) = all this bunch and then they bombard you with ads. In general, discuss something important in an office made of lead and without phones!
When it is impossible to reliably prove that an event is impossible, it is better to assume that it is possible and take appropriate measures. For example, do not use the Internet on the phone, or use it as little as possible.
Yandex says that it takes about 200 kb to create 1 word for "phrase spotting". So calculate how much space is required to isolate a dozen words.

... the current LOS still has proprietary parts from the manufacturer.
The guys who developed Yandex.Phone and its voice analyzer say that they are flattered by such questions and statements) They can’t always recognize something correctly in the context, let alone extract the essence from the conversation and then show ads on it ... For now, this impossible.
Of course they listen! After all, it’s easier than ever to check - talk to someone or even to yourself about something that you are not interested in at all. And what I did not look for on the Internet. After a while, you will notice that this product will start popping up in contextual advertising.
Of course they listen))) here and don’t go to a fortuneteller
