The dilemma about Cisco certifications for network engineers has been bothering me for days. Some say that this is a waste of money, others say that this is a base and without a conditional CCNA there is nowhere now. I want to take the CCNA myself, but looking at the exchange rate and the price of taking the exam itself, you wonder - is it necessary now?
It is clear that with a piece of paper knowledge will not increase, here we are talking about hiring - do Cisco certificates play a role in the labor market.

Only Professional level certificates and above play a role. And CCNA and similar ones, only for admission to prof level exams, I don’t see any other need for CCNA at all. In general, everything depends on the employer, no one has ever asked me, I received certificates only for a visa. If you want, then either push for CCNP or don't give up at all, CCNA will be of no use.

You correctly said that in any case, SSNA is the base, and it would not be correct to say that studying the course and passing the exam is useless. In addition, the cisco has a validity period of 3 years, and then you will have to move on to the SSNP, well, you won’t hand over the SSNA back)). And then you look, you will become an expert.
You will not be able to pass SSNP without understanding. I gave up myself.
If we start, then bring the minimum to SSNP. And you will begin to understand everything that is in your network. (Almost everything, well, at least everything will fall into place)
