DNS server unavailable, internet available?
The problem is this - access to the Internet suddenly disappeared on a friend's laptop, W10 diagnostics gives an error "DNS server is not responding".
This error appears regardless of the Internet source, different providers, connection via Wi-Fi / cable, it doesn’t matter.
The error is saved in safe mode.
Services related to DNS are working, dns was prescribed very different - nothing changes.
Resetting the network settings using both Win tools and through the command line was performed, again, no effect, the network settings were reset IN GENERAL EVERYTHING.
The firewall turned off, turned on, reset - 0 effect, there are no antiviruses except for the standard Win, it turned off too.
What could be the problem if the network settings were reset, and the left software, in theory, should have been cut off by safe mode?

Go to the properties of the network connection and specify the DNS server manually.

Maybe resetting everything at all will help?
Check network access with any live-cd. If the Internet is there, then we boldly dismiss the "iron" problem and continue to delve into Windows. And there can be anything. In the most extreme case, I would reinstall the tcp \ ip stack. Often this is the only thing that helps in Windows. Well, quite hardcore - reinstallation.
And yes. Ping by ip address to Google dns goes at least?
