DNS not working?

Hello. I have a virtual machine with just installed Ubuntu server 16.04. The problem is that ping google.com does not work, but ping 8.8.8.8 works fine, because of this, apt update does not work, I assume that this is due to the fact that the system cannot connect to the dns server. How can this be resolved? The host machine runs on windows 7, the connection type is Nat, I also tried the network bridge, but it did not help
