DNS errors when connecting via OpenVPN on Ubuntu18?

I am using Ubuntu18.04.6, OpenVPN 2.5.2. I connect using .ovpn file:
sudo openvpn --config name.ovpn

I get errors:

Options error: Unrecognized option or missing or extra
parameter(s) in [PUSH-OPTIONS]:6: block-outside-dns (2.5.2)
Options error: Unrecognized option or missing or extra
parameter(s) in [PUSH-OPTIONS] ]:7: register-dns (2.5.2)

Learned from similar questions about adding these lines to .ovpn:

script-security 2
up /etc/openvpn/update-resolv-conf
down /etc/openvpn/update-resolv-conf

And yet I get the same error

From similar questions the answers did not help

What could be the problem?

On ubuntu 20 everything works without crutches

Check the version of openvpn.... What if you just have unsupported options...
