Distributed transceiver

Good afternoon I

'm interested in the opinion of radio communications experts about this idea:

Is it possible to take a large number of low-power radio stations distributed over a large area, somehow synchronize their work and get a powerful transceiver capable, for example, of communicating with satellites in two-way mode?

And the second question, is it theoretically possible to use ordinary mobile phones or smartphones for these purposes?

If this technology is possible, you can think of ways to use it yourself;)

PS: I must say right away that I don’t understand much in radio communications, so please be indulgent :)
