Distributed messaging system with encryption. Is it possible?
There is an idea to create a p2p messaging system. The speed of delivery is not critical, the question is whether it is realistic to make the possibility of encryption so that the intermediate nodes through which the traffic passes cannot read the message. That is, the message propagates between many nodes, looking for the addressee, but only the addressee can decrypt it. Is it possible to do this? Any thoughts, reflections and links will do: what to read on this topic. Tried googling, but didn't find anything useful.

Read about Skype, just before it was bought by MS. That's pretty much how he worked.
Google more about the STUN protocol, it seems like he used it.
