Disk space limit for SaaS users?

Hi all!
The question is probably stupid, for knowledgeable people, but so far I have not found anything. There is an idea to develop a SaaS service, in which, depending on the tariff plan, users will have access to different amounts of disk space. In this connection, the question is: are there any utilities / services that allow you to somehow limit the volume, I don’t know, physical folders on the server with user data, or will you need to somehow calculate the sizes of the files uploaded by the user and, depending on this, allow or not allow uploading new files?
Let's just say that you need something like a drop box only indirectly for the application, and not directly for the user.

Limits are easily configured by regular means in Linux.
