Disguising a virtual network card as an iron one?

The essence of the question is to make some software work over the network, through a VPN, which works only through a hardware card. Virtual ignore. The problem is in the virtual card, because a crutch from a loop of 2 iron network cards solves the problem.

What kind of virtualization is being used. How does 'some software' check the hardware of the card?
How is it displayed/defined now?
In Proxmox VE, all you have to do is choose between Intel or Realtek.617b32431dca9971811427.png

Create a tunnel on a separate computer, not on the one on which the software is running. And use it as a gateway for the addresses that this software goes to.

So you should not use those VPNs that use virtual cards, like OpenVPN, but use others, like IPsec / IKE2
