Disabling Caps Lock completely?
Actually interested in this. Is it possible to completely remove the Caps Lock mode. But without turning off the key itself, because it is very convenient for changing the layout. It doesn’t work in principle, but in some applications or games sometimes a false positive occurs and Caps Lock turns on, and in order to turn it off, you need to go into the putno switcher settings, turn off switching on this key, then turn it on again.

Personally, I almost completely solved the Caps Lock problem for myself by switching to the “pressing the left Shift disables Caps Lock” scheme.
Reassign Caps Lock to RShift and set layout switching to RShift. Remap RShift to LShift so RShift can be used normally. I did this, only instead of Caps Lock I used RWin.
/me swapped Caps Lock and Scroll Lock

Are you annoyed by false positives?
For example, in linux, if the layout is changed to Caps Lock and a false positive occurs, then you can press Shift + Caps Lock and everything will return back. I think this will help you too.
sudo apt-get install gnome-tweak-tool
Settings > Keyboard > Caps Lock Key Behavior: Caps Lock disabled
Go to text input options and assign Caps Lock as the keyboard layout change key.
