Different ways to configure MikroTik?

Hello everybody. I will describe the situation. Router MikroTik RB951G-2HND. Firmware 6.47.2 We set up the Internet in the company. The standard setting looks like this: reset the router (no default configuration) then configure.
Fought for an hour and a half with this. I manually entered all the data of the provider does not work, I tried it automatically, the router does not receive ip from the provider when setting up the dhcp client. And then I tried using quick set, it didn't work either. I tried many times, and constantly started over, reset all settings. Although I checked the Internet, with a direct connection to the computer, the Internet appeared immediately after the provider's data was registered. BUT an employee of our company connected remotely, reset the router, but already leaving the default settings, just like me, manually registered some parameters from the provider, and everything immediately worked. How??

I understand that most likely when the router settings are completely cleared, some necessary setting is deleted, tell me which one? I just can't understand. Before that, I configured the routers on my own and everything worked.

By the way, I’ll add that the day before the installation of the router, I took it to my home. There, everything worked fine for me. The router automatically received an ip from the provider when setting up the dhcp client. At my house and at the company alliance telecom.

PS I'm new to Mikrotik

I hope I've described the situation in as much detail as possible. Please answer the question. What am I missing? What kind of special setting is there in default configurations.

@Zarom

reset router (no default configuration) then setup

This is the most correct approach to set up.
There is not enough information to answer what was missing, since it is not known what you configured.
The reasons may be:
  • The provider did not provide a DHCP connection, only a static configuration
  • The Internet could be absent if you forgot to register DNS / enable it on the router for clients / transfer it to clients via DHCP
  • Could forget to register Default Gateway
  • Incorrect NAT/Masquerading/Filters
  • Anything else

What's the difference between Mikrotik and Probiotic?
They are all the same and work the same way.

OSI network model - learn by heart.
Any manual on routing.

Well, then we check.
-one. Does the provider filter traffic by brands if it filters the correct poppy given to the router.
0. We ping any address outside from the router.
1. Network parameters within the network - which the computer receives - we check.
2. Ping the router.
3. Ping the provider's gateway.
4. Check whether the computer inside the network recognizes DNS names outside.
5. Well, we look at the route tracing on what falls off if everything above works.
And that's it, we look at what moment it fell off, what doesn't work, we fix it on the router.
All.
True for all routers, all axes, all servers and all computers.
Basic knowledge gives the key to all devices.
And looking for cells where to insert the numbers and so on for each specific device is very inefficient.

Most likely at home at the dhcp provider, and the default Mikrotik is usually configured like this - the first port for the provider, the rest with the button accordion to the LAN. And in the office, most likely, the parameters are static.
