Different versions of programs from the same repository, Ubuntu?
There is a need to use different versions of programs. So that the system as a whole and the repository are stable, but individual programs are from the latest branch.
Is it possible to achieve this with standard apt or synaptic tools? Or is there only one option - to collect and install updated programs by hand separately?

Snap packages are self-sufficient entities, unlike deb packages, and are needed to implement the Snappy philosophy, where application software is separated from the system and there is rollback support at the design level of the entire system. The software works in the sandbox of the AppArmor mandatory access system and does not affect the system or other programs. All this was created for the sake of automatic approval (subject to a number of conditions) of programs to the official repository, which will allow the Personal Packages Archive (PPA) to disappear in the future as an extra entity and radically speed up the emergence of new versions of programs, without regard to the libraries available in the system.
