Difference for development between OpenCart and PrestaShop?
Hello, I want to ask you a question. Here I can not choose CMS in any way.
Here I can not choose what will be more convenient for development. I googled and didn't find a clear answer to my question. In general, there is a store old.td-rspr.ru (opencart v1) → now transferred to woocommerce, a month later I realized that this engine loads too much and it is not so well optimized. Something crashes with every update.
Please tell us what is more convenient and more manuals or intuitively clear.
Which is better for your development experience.
Prestashop: 1.7.2.4 or OpenCart 3.0.2.0.

For 2 years of working with PS, I realized that from the stack (Prestashop / opencart / magento) - Prestashop is the golden mean.
If there are up to several thousand products, then this is definitely your option.
OpenCart would actively advise against it. I've only heard negative.
Opencart is faster than Prestashop, but it is not known what will happen to it under load with its plugins that do not have the best reputation.
Magento is too monstrous, and in the basic configuration it is significantly less productive compared to Prestashop.
Prestashop also has its own quirks, but by default it is fast, concise, and works as expected. Updates (not counting the transition from 1.6 to 1.7, which makes all templates for the previous version incompatible) - do not break anything. Even most of the "incompatible" modules based on version can be quite easily launched with minor changes in the code, and often just by removing the compatibility check :)
