the zone is not a camp the
house is not a domain
in short: the zone includes all the subset of domains
you configure the mail domain and the web server domain, these are two different (well, sometimes one)
but all this is in one zone

Domains are divided into zones, for which individual DNS servers are responsible.
A domain represents a list of resources that are grouped together by a single organizational unit.
For example, all domains ending with ".ru" belong to the "ru" domain.
Zone - a record that defines the delegation of responsibility for subdomains to other DNS servers (NS record).

A domain is an address; in order for it to work, you need to add a record about your domain (zone) to the DNS server.
By registering your domain, you get your zone, and accordingly you can create subdomains in your domain (zone), for this you will need to register information about the zone in the DNS.
