DHCP on VM connected via dvSwitch. Requests from the client do not reach. Where to dig?
Ripe for moving to a distributed switch. But we encountered the following problem: requests from clients do not reach the DHCP server that is spinning in vm'ke. On an ordinary vSwitch, everything is ok. Security settings for portgroups are the same:
promiscuous mode - reject
mac address changes - accept
forget transmits - accept
PS Hosts and vCenter - 6.0u1. Level 5.5 switch

We conducted the following experiment: a trunk was sent to vm'ku, creating a port group with a trunk on dvSwitch and leaving the default security settings. Already by the means of the guest OS (ubuntu 12.04) we created an interface in the desired vlan and voila - dhcp works through it.
Actually, this behavior has already been encountered when it was necessary to build dynamic routing between cisco 3750 and quagga in vm'ke with ubuntu 12.04. Then they didn’t overcome it and left this crutch. I do not want to add dhcp servers to it.
