This stick takes the version of skype from the SharedObject, "ui/preferences"

Really. During installation, Skype creates files for this:
c:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Macromedia\Flash Player\#SharedObjects\7A8D9VCR\skype.com\
Then the flash drive accesses "#ui\preferences.sol" and gets the version.
