Design for Xamarin, what are the features?

The customer said that the development of the application will be carried out on Xamarin.
Question: how to design an ios application for it? Collect everything from native interface elements? How much can you play with customization?

If Xamarin.iOS is used, there are no fundamental differences from the native in terms of UI. If the development will be carried out on Xamarin.Forms - then the entire UI is built either using code (which is much less common), or on XAML (much more often) - there are already quite strong differences compared to native tools for creating UI.
