There is a need to view the MAC address of the person connected to the server.
in theory, you look and determine the IP of the connected person:
netstat -n
further:
arp -a
but in response only local MAC addresses.

The poppy address is visible to the first router. If the router is local, then you can configure Proxy ARP in order to see poppy addresses from other network segments.
