It's a sad picture -
HP, in the lower segment, presented the device like everyone else - with a non-magnetic toner transfer system. At the same time, for HP, the price of a print page, on the original, goes off scale for 4.2 rubles. When refueling, the picture will also be bleak - the toner will last no more than 3-5 times, and the photodrum unit has not yet been restored. Chips on the HP JI series are astronomically priced, and leaving the old ones loses control over toner residue.
Thus - HP in this particular case will be the choice of "brand" - expensive and prestigious.
Samsung - the quality of the plastic and the design of the cartridge (101,111) are such that not only everyone can restore it normally - even after the first cycle. The chip blocks the work - either change or flash the device. The brand is so-so (HP has already bought them), the cost of ownership can be unpleasantly surprising.
Ricoh - despite the fact that the cartridges even have a stopper for self-filling, there are no spare parts for cartridges except for the photo shaft. After 3-5 cycles, you will have to buy a new cartridge.
At the same time, the SP150 model has only a "top" paper feed (there is no tray), as a result, you must always remove the paper after printing and close the top feed, otherwise all small objects in the house strive to fall there unnoticed.
The undoubted advantage of Ricoh over the rest, in this case, is the all-in-one cartridge, with the exception of the SP325 - there is also a separate cartridge.
Brother - the cartridge is separate, the toner is refilled, there are photo rollers for the drum unit. The main thing is to set the counter reset flag on the starting toner - although experienced users, with the lid open, block the cover closing sensor and, when turned on, press the counter part of the counter reset flag in the device with a screwdriver.
Xerox - as it is not surprising, but these models have the lowest cost of a print on the original. The real inconvenience is the need to replace the chips, or firmware of the device. The toner is refilled, the drum is restored.
Forget about:
Pantum - the chip on the cartridge is its own and ... the Chinese are Chinese, in this case, especially since this is a product similar to Samsung, and even with indistinct technical support.
With small print volumes (up to 500 pages/month), the Ricoh SP150 is the most interesting - the cheapest device + bonus - it has a direct path that allows you to confidently drive through a dense media.
When printing about 1000 pages / month. most interesting Brother
For printing more than 2000 pages / month. it's wise to take Xerox or Ricoh SP220
When choosing entry-level equipment, in terms of performance, you should look not at print speed, but at cartridge volume. It is optimal to replace the toner part every 1-3 months.
