Debugging stm32 in GDB. How to determine when the pin is reset?

I'm trying to build OpenCNC to control a milling machine on stm32.
Somehow I assembled the firmware, I throw it into the MK, and it shows the screen for half a second and then turns off the backlight. Rummaged through the entire code of direct access to this pin is not. I assembled a test firmware with a blinking screen backlight, everything works. I tried to add the inclusion of a pin in several places, it still goes out immediately. The only hope is to somehow catch through the debugger which function sins with this.
