Google suggested that this is a kernel process associated with interrupts.
The problem manifests itself when copying files.
There are many hints, but none worked.

Try rebuilding the kernel using the sources from kernel.org. This is the fastest way to solve the problem if you don't want to bother with using the kernel profiler and other mind-blowing nuclear stuff.
