Debian asks for a password when accessing Windows shares. How to get rid?
Given : 1 PC with Debian 8 x64, peer-to-peer network without domain, approx. 30 Windows PCs of various versions on board.
Problem : when you try to log in to any Windows PC, you are asked for a password, but even if you enter the correct data, you are not logged in, no error pops up, just after entering the password, the system thinks for a couple of seconds, and then again prompts you to enter the login / password.
As usual, everything used to work before, but after the next system update it stopped. I’m not ready to say after which one, but I’m almost 99% sure that the update is to blame, because. did not change the network settings. I tried to configure Samba following the advice from the Internet, but nothing happened.
If necessary, I will provide any additional information.
Thanks in advance.
