DDR3 vs SSD what to choose?

I looked in the store - ddr3 4 GB and ssd 60 GB cost about the same. what's better?
what is more important for performance gain?

I had the same situation
1. first I increased the amount of RAM from 4GB to 8GB
2. then I changed the HDD to an SSD
, as a result, the increase in performance (more precisely, the responsiveness of the interface and generally the comfort of work) was especially felt after installing the SSD disk
I advise you to choose to start SSD

4) How much space will all this economy take up in the installed form.
