DB connection?

There is an error in connecting to the database

(2005, "Unknown MySQL server host 'ry1-box-02' (2)")

I have created a db named ry1-box-02. But the error didn't go away.
It's not clear to me what the 2 in brackets after the database name is. Can anyone tell what she's up to?
