"Data transmission (without number allocation)" and "Fax transmission (without number allocation)" - what is it?

Such services are connected in Megafon (free of charge). What do they give? Google did not help, there is no information on the operator's website on them. I'm thinking of turning it off.

@Driver86

These are data transfer services in "analogue" mode - the ability to send faxes and connect to the network through the built-in analog modem at speeds up to 14.4 kbps.
Some equipment (for example, burglar alarms, this is used). Modern smartphones, as a rule, do not support these modes, so if you do not plan to send faxes through a smartphone connected to a PC, you can safely turn off these services.
