Current versions of Java?

java.com, oracle website, Java update center on my computer give the latest versions of JDK 12 and Java 8, which are not compatible with each other (the versions are working, there are no errors on the command line), I compiled it, I try to run the program, and I get an error a jni error has occurred please check your installation and try again and blah blah blah, where it says that the file was compiled with a later version than you currently have. In shock, where to look for the latest versions, on off-sites they give only Java 8, but where to download 9, 10, 11, 12?
