Cross-platform ajax-file-uploader?

Hello.
Is there a plugin that allows on any device (ipad, iphone, android, pc, mac) to download a file asynchronously, correctly send callbacks, etc.?
For PC and Mac, there are no problems to find, but most of the jQuery plugins or just libraries on my desire hd didn’t want to load anything anywhere.
Maybe someone faced a problem?

As far as I know, safari ios does not have access to the file system.
