Creating your own VPS on Windows?

Hello.
I have a weak laptop. It lies in the closet. I use it to monitor some things, it never turns off. I connect to it via remote desktop (I use TeamViewer).
There is a friend, he needs something that would also be constantly running under Windows, but he cannot keep the computer on all the time. Since I have it turned on all the time and not loaded, I decided to share it with him. So, how to do it now?
I need my remote desktop, it needs its own. Everyone will have their own processes running around the clock. Both should be able to access it remotely. And definitely under Windows :(
I understand that you can rent a VPS, and it's inexpensive. But firstly, I have a computer that is always on, and secondly, I set myself the goal of just doing it! :) But I rummaged through the whole Google, I can’t even find something to cling to. :( Can anyone tell me what?
Thank you all in advance :)

This is bad Google! Look for Terminal Services, install Windows Server on a computer (if the computer is weak, then 2003 R2), enable the Terminal Server role, and use it to your health (better, via VPN).

I use UniversalTermsrvPatch_20090425 that allows you to turn a server from XP to Windows 7 into a terminal (for 10 another solution)
The method is proven, convenient.
I use it for service in several cafes where the cash desk is constantly running and the bartender works, and I can connect and work without interfering with his work.
Another application is a small class on 5 PCs where each user has limited rights, and the admin is only on the network. So that local users cannot install programs themselves and change system settings.
For permanent work as on a serious terminal server, this method is probably the wrong solution, but it is quite suitable for periodic connection and maintenance in the background.
