Creating aliases for folders?

Here, for example, after installing denver, a virtual disk is created that refers to the installation directory of denver itself.
Is it possible to create not a disk, but a folder referring to a folder? (changes in one = changes in both)

perhaps I will say strange, but with the help of "Libraries" in win7 this can also be done. a library is created, a folder is placed in it. all. by clicking on the library, an open folder will be displayed. in my case, I even have access to these libraries through the file manager.

Use Far manager - there it is done quickly and easily - Alt-F6.
Just be careful with the removal - this, alas, is fraught.

Symlinks were invented for such purposes.
