Creating a voice assistant to control smart home on Raspberry Pi 2?
I decided to make a voice assistant to control the light (for now).
I think to do it on Raspberry Pi 2 + Jasper + Pocketsphinx.
There are several problems:
1) A microphone for a small test room (a huge number of microphones and I don’t know which one I need D :)
2) What sound card for raspberries (USB / etc)?
3) And finally, are there any articles to understand this for me, a novice pogromist?
If there is a better replacement for jasper, write and suggest

A slightly different implementation option as an alternative: use a raspberry as a server, and do voice control using a smartphone. In this case, MajorDoMo is suitable for the server , and MajorDroid can be installed on the smartphone - everything is already ready in this bundle, including voice activation through Pocketsphinx.
I'm working on the same system as you. If interested, check it out: bit.ly/1KyUNYf
