Creating a timeline?

Please advise a plugin for jQuery to create and display a timeline like these:
timeglider.com/jquery
timeline.verite.co
However, it is possible not for jQuery, in plain Javascript (but only without Flash!). You just need to shove a bunch of event points along the timeline with the ability to navigate through them.
