Creating a stop-motion video

Good afternoon, habr.
We need an inexpensive and most importantly convenient tool for time-lapse shooting at a given interval. There is a 5-year-old Canon soap dish available, from the ports there are mini-usb and audio / video. I believe that the latter is not compatible with modern DSLR lanyards.

Of the options, the only thing left is to connect to a netbook via a usb cord or disassemble the device and physically connect to the shutter button (bggg). The first option is not interesting due to its size and the strictly limited operating time of the laptop. The second, IMHO, is some kind of perversion.

You need a CHDK: chdk.wikia.com/wiki/CHDK
There's even a scripting option there.

Are there no software products? Like Stop Motion Pro with the ability to capture video from a digital video camera or USB webcam…

Isn't it easier to take a not very expensive IP camera and set up shooting on it?

opium, agoodis, you seem to have misunderstood the essence of the question: It is impossible to
carry a constantly turned on laptop with you , this has already been mentioned. An IP camera, even a wireless one, implies the presence of a computer, see above. Requires a fully autonomous system (up to 15hr) that allows you to take pictures at a given interval. A sort of hardware servo machine that will press the trigger.
