Crazy jobs on linkedin

Since I have a profile on linkedin and subscribed to their mailing list, often in the overview of available vacancies I see vacancies for a C ++ programmer with exorbitant salaries. No, I understand everything, the financial sector, a large city and all that. But $200K-$500K a year isn't too much for a developer?

It is worth mentioning that the requirements there are very solid (expert in C ++, STL, Boost), but nevertheless ...

What do you think, how are interviews held in such companies? We live for a week in a hotel, while every day there are tasks, interviews, challenges? Does anyone have an example?

For programmers in the financial field, working in companies on Wall Street (finance) - a salary of 150K (gross) is normal. But you need to work there at least 12 hours a day, often 16 hours. The work is nervous, you don’t see your family, etc. I was interviewed for a similar position, when at the end they told me what was what - I refused (family, children, etc.).
Salaries of 250K and above for a programmer, even in finance, are from the realm of fantasy (recruiter spam), but perhaps this data includes bonuses, which in principle can be very large (or may not be at all - depending on the company's performance in quarter/year, etc.).

And there are no additional requirements in small print: "work 24 hours a day, live and sleep in the office"?

It's okay, taxes will take half of it.
