Corrosion began to appear on the contacts of the credit card. How dangerous is it?
There is a credit card with a chip and corrosion began to appear on the contacts (between the strips).
I'm going on a long trip soon. Does it make sense to go to the bank and reissue the card, or is everything fine and I'm worrying in vain?

I've had corrosion for a couple of years now and nothing - no problems.
If the trip is long, it is better to reissue it, especially since it is free of charge in most banks.
PS cards a lot, not a single corrosion.
There is if you have this one card, I don’t understand people with one card at all, banks give them out almost for free, blocking a card while traveling is an ordinary thing in banks, how are you going to survive in such cases then?
