Corona SDK or Cocos2Dx for mobile development?
Hello. After several years of working with Unity, the idea and desire to create a 2d platformer for mobile devices suddenly came up. And now I can not choose an engine for development. Unity3D is certainly good, but not optimized enough, given that the game is unpretentious and, in general, shooting sparrows from a cannon.
I never tried Lua, but I didn't use C++ much, so the language is not important. I think between Corona and Cocos2d. I don’t see any shortcomings with the first one, the second one doesn’t have very complete documentation. What do you advise about this? Can you suggest something better? Thank you.

Hello, if the language is not important to you, I strongly advise you Corona sdk it is on Lua, of course cocos2d also has Lua, but I think that the documentation is better for the crown, and if you also have a Mac, then the crown has a visual level editor (Composer GUI) which greatly simplifies the work. If you are focusing on mobile platforms, then there is android, ios, winPhone, and more recently they have made support for the desktop. Very active community, very low entry threshold (I personally wrote a copy of mario after 2 weeks of use). In short, I advise Corona SDK.
