Copyright photos of celebrities?

Many sites, including film search , use in their catalogs whole heaps of celebrity photos, both from photo shoots and simply from various shows and fashion shows.
On what basis do they use them? Isn't this a copyright infringement? I want the same :)

First, there are press kits, which include photo shoots, photos from the shoot, stills from films, and other promotional material. A promo is a promo.
Secondly, there are photos from photo banks, for example, such as wireimage . These are just photos from shows and other events. Normal sites buy them.
