Content application for Windows Phone how?

Hello!
I wanted to try writing a simple C# application (in visual studio) for Windows Phone. Basically, for the sake of interest, it will turn out / no, but if I figure it out, then make a couple of applications for myself.
I’m a complete beginner, I’ve only been watching all sorts of entry-level courses for a couple of days (but from what I looked at, they mainly consider the syntax of the language, loops, arrays, etc. It seems like I understand a little, but in simple applications, such as a calculator, I went - counted - left. But I can’t really find how to work with the content base (mostly finds articles about appstudio).
I set myself the task of making an application with jokes (the simplest thing I could think of).
Approximately, as I imagine: The main page with categories, when you click on a category, a list with the names of jokes from this category opens, when you click on the name, the joke itself opens.
But I don’t have the slightest idea how to implement it ...
Can someone tell me what is worth reading for a beginner in order to figure out how to store content, how to display it?
Or can someone describe in a few words how to implement this?
Thank you very much :) do not kick the newbie)))

Hey!
It is advisable to start watching what you are looking at in C # + another book to read. There are a lot of them, it's not a problem to find them on the torrent. It is especially important to understand OOP, since arrays and loops are indispensable here :)
Here are some links to winefon courses and books:
1. https://dev.windows.com/ru-ru
2. www.microsoftvirtualacademy.com (there are a lot of courses There is also an excellent course on Winphone for beginners from Bob Tabor, I recommend it, he just does something like your application there)
3. https://www.techdays.ru/
4 .https : //msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/dn659427.aspx(here are some books on vinfon. There are old versions of them you can read to understand the picture, but a lot has already changed)
In general, good luck to you! I hope helped.
PS If you succeed and like it, don't quit programming :)
