"Console freeze" when installing Arch Linux, how to solve this problem?
Hello. I recently decided to install Arch Linux. New to Arch Linux, I've tried Ubuntu, Linux Mint, Elementary OS, and quite a bit of Fedora before. After creating a bootable flash drive using USBWriter and an Arch Linux image downloaded from the official site, I rebooted the laptop, went into the BIOS (not UEFI / EFI), set the boot from the flash drive, saved the settings. After rebooting the laptop, a small menu appeared, where I selected the item "Boot Arch Linux (x86_64)" and pressed Enter. After that, magic happened :) and I saw the console. For the first 10 seconds, everything works great, but then the cursor stops moving, I can’t write or do anything, even the laptop’s power button doesn’t work. And all this happens only on a laptop, using the same bootable USB flash drive, on a stationary PC - everything works "as it should" and no hangups are observed. How can this problem be solved, and is it possible at all? Notebook - HP Pavilion G6 1124er (AMD A6 3400M, Radeon HD 6520G). Arch Linux from 2016.05.01.

Perhaps this version is not compatible with your laptop (there are some conflicting drivers). In the bootloader, you can specify in the parameters which drivers to disable. Most likely a problem with the video - try specifying a specific video mode in the parameters and setting it in console mode. (Although arch is already set in console mode)
