Connecting two computers behind NAT via TeamViewer

If there are 2 computers behind NAT, how is the connection between the machines going?

As I understand it, it will be Comp 1 -> TV Server -> Comp 2

And then immediately the question is to remove the intermediate TV server and, as a result, additional ping, can it be enough on the receiving computer (Comp 2) to get a real ip address and they will connect directly? Or does traffic still go through the TV server?

Immediately you need to add another option, with the scheme when 2 computers are behind NAT, it may be that Comp 1 -> TV Server -> Comp 2, but the response to the server is single, and then the computers are connected directly. Or am I wrong?

I would be grateful if someone could explain in detail
