Connecting speakers to TV?

At the moment, the speakers EDIFIER R2700, 2.0 are connected by optics to the TV SAMSUNG UE49M5503AUXRU But the sound volume, as I understand it, is limited by the built-in sound card of the TV (loud, but I know that the speakers can be louder than 2 times, when connected to a PC for example). The question is what device can be purchased and put "against" to achieve maximum volume? External sound? (Will it work with TV) Decoder? Receiver? Amplifier?
