Connecting a third-party webcam to a Samsung smart TV
Greetings.
A brand new Samsung UE-40F6500 TV was recently purchased, this is a model without a built-in camera. Very soon, an annoying "nuance" was discovered - the TV only supports "special" branded samsung webcams. The prices for these cameras are not at all encouraging, and finding them for sale is a separate problem.
Because the TV runs on Linux OS, the idea arises that you can make any UVC camera work by loading the appropriate kernel module.
Did any of the Habravchans pick up such TVs? Or can be who solved a similar problem? Interested in which side to approach this device.
I have already downloaded the toolchain, kernel sorts and other components from the Samsung opensource resource. How now to get a root shell on a TV and be able to upload / download files from its FS?
One of the options, as I understand it, is to connect via bluetooth serial?
It is also possible that Samsung could put additional obstacles, so that the loading of the module may not end?
Thanks for answers.

It is easier to take a camera whose VID / PID changes and insert the data of the Samsung camera there, the TV recognizes it as native.
I'll answer myself a little too late. I dug for a very long time, dug into the firmware of the TV and even rutanul, the hole was in the JS widget interface.
I tried to assemble the necessary kernel module for my camera and load it, the module was picked up and the camera was determined by the kernel, but Skype itself did not want to work with the camera - it simply did not see the device. It seems that the Skype process itself was constantly falling.
With this, I could not do anything, in the end, it was decided to purchase a native camera ...
