Connecting 5.1 audio to TV?

Good afternoon. There is a Samsung UE-40F6130 TV, I really want to buy a used sound 5.1 Sven HT-475 for it. I’ll make a reservation right away to buy a receiver, there is neither the possibility nor the desire, since the system will get out of the budget, but there is an old Xerox DVD player, it has 5.1 outputs, and an optical one (you will need to peep at the entrance or exit at home). Actually the question is: is it possible to connect 5.1 to the TV? I thought about the option - a picture from a satellite via hdmi to a TV set, connect a DVD player from a TV set with optics and an acoustic 5.1 to it. Of course, I feel that this is not possible, but you need to know for sure) There are also TV, DVD and other inputs on this acoustics, if you connect through them, to the 3.5 minijack output on the headphones on the TV, will 5.1 work? Or just 2.1?
